Welcome to Silver Lining! We are a small  RagaMuffin kitten cattery. We have been showing cats in all classes (Champion, Alter, Kitten, Household Pet) the last 18 years throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa, North Carolina, Maryland, Florida, California and Arizona.

My husband is a US Marine, handles security abroad and is now an attorney. I have been many things, but I currently am a paralegal so I can stay home with our thirteen year old, Lily, our eleven year old, Autumn, our seven year old we call Bubba and our preschooler, Grayson (after his sister Grace) and our newly minted toddler, Hazel (whew)! I have been a vet tech and a pet groomer for the last twenty years. I may look much younger than I am, but I have been working with animals for almost thirty years. Starting with horses and showing and onto dogs and dog sports. From there onto the kitties for the last nineteen years. We were all taught how to love, nurture, handle and respect every pet and animal we come into contact with and how to spread the same love and joy onto anyone who adopts one of our kittens.

All of our kittens are raised underfoot and are socialized with kids, adults, three dogs (one Aussie annd two DDBs), and other cats. They are caged only for shows and trips to the vet. Be assured every kitten that may claim you as his or her forever home has been raised in a loving and nurturing environment. We only want  the best for our babies. Our cats go to shows and are handled by multiple different judges. We strongly believe in showing to make sure we are providing the best possible Muffin standards and personalities. All cats are guaranteed to be tested negative for FeLV/FIV, are current on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed or neutered before leaving our home between 14 and 16 weeks of age. We also have a four year guarantee against genetic defects.

We are proud members of the RagaMuffin Associated Group (RAG), ACFA, and the Cat Fancier’s Association. We follow the codes set forth by these institutions. This includes a very strict no declaw policy. All breeding pairs are DNA tested for the Ragdoll HCM mutation and are negative/negative. In addition, they are screened for almost 40 genetic and congenital diseases.
